私が寄生虫のない繁殖を採用した理由
パラサイトフリーブリーディングへのアプローチは単なる選択ではありませんでした。
それは、愛好家、輸入業者、ブリーダーとして私が直面した一連のチャレンジから生まれた必要不可欠な行為でした。
これらのチャレンジには、病気と寄生虫という ディスカスの世界を悩ませていた1 つの共通の問題がありました。
これらの問題を解決するのは簡単な作業ではありませんでした。
それは、これらの美しい魚の育成に多大な時間とお金、リソースを投資することを意味しました。
投資面においても、魚の健康面においても、これらの戦いで被った損失は、時に私をとても落ち込ませるものでした。

Please describe why you started parasite free breeding
and where learned the method?:
Why I Embraced Parasite-Free Breeding
My journey into parasite-free breeding wasn't just a choice;
it was a necessity born from a series of challenges I faced as a hobbyist, importer, and breeder.
These challenges had one common source: diseases and parasites that plagued the Discus world.
Solving these issues was no small feat.
It meant investing substantial amounts of time and money, resources that could have been better spent on nurturing these beautiful fish.
The losses incurred during these battles were sometimes disheartening, both for my investment and the well-being of the fish.
As an importer, I took great care in selecting my Discus sources,
yet the specter of infections like Capillaria and other nematodes, along with internal parasite issues, haunted every shipment.
To ensure the health of my fish, I maintained a strict protocol of treatment for 25 days,
targeting flukes, internal worms, and internal bacterial and parasitic intruders before selling or integrating them into my breeding stock.
It was during these struggles that I envisioned parasite-free Discus as the ultimate solution.
This approach offered not just a remedy but a complete escape from the burdens of disease and parasites.
My goal was simple: to make the hobby of Discus keeping accessible and enjoyable for everyone, from seasoned enthusiasts to newcomers.
It was a mission to simplify, enrich, and elevate the experience of Discus breeding for all who shared my passion.
The path to parasite-free Discus breeding wasn't paved with published techniques.
Instead, I drew inspiration from methods employed in Salmon hatcheries.
These ideas sparked experimentation with Discus until we hit the sweet spot.
Our goal: complete parasite disinfection of eggs while ensuring a healthy hatch rate.
It was a tough road; we lost thousands of eggs along the way.
But perseverance and innovation eventually led us to success.
Now it is not as difficult as we allow the parasite free discus to breed and raise their fry naturally.
One important observation is we noticed that the naturally raised discus are much stronger
and reselient to stress and disease than artificial breed or non-parasite for Discus.

The water parameter of disinfection is critical,
however the key to sucess is having a strict bio-security program in the breeding facility to remain parasite free.

What is the best benefit of parasite free breeding?:
The best thing about parasite-free breeding is crystal clear.
First off, let's debunk a myth – not all fish treated with meds and dewormed can claim to be parasite-free.
That's a bit of a misconception.
You see, while some medications can kick out worms, they often leave sneaky critters like Hexamita and other single-celled internal parasites untouched.
These little troublemakers can get used to meds and build resistance over time.
They become experts in causing fish diseases – a fancy term for this is "virulence," their ability to make fish sick.
In our parasite-free program, we take a different route.
We kick those pathogens right from the start when the eggs are collected from the parents
(This is only done for discus that was sourced externally).
Then, we let these little guys grow in regular tap water. This sets them up for the real world – your tanks.
They get accustomed to the critters that naturally swim in your tank water, building their own defenses.
So, if they ever catch something, they're more likely to bounce back on their own or zip to recovery with a bit of treatment.
No nasty surprises from drug-resistant bugs here!
And for us breeders, it's like a dream come true. No meds needed throughout the whole breeding process.
Our pairs stay healthy, and those precious fry don't mysteriously kick the bucket in the fourth week.
Even if there's a water change hiccup, they won't just fall ill and need a bunch of antibiotics to get back on their fins.

ディスカス繁殖への道は魅力的なものでした。
すべては 2011 年に私がアジアン ディスカスの飼育に飛び込んだときに始まりました。
彼らの美しさは、私を惹きつける何かがあります。
初期の頃にあれこれいじりながら、私はできるだけ丸いディスカスを作ることに執着しました。

My journey into Discus fish breeding has been a fascinating ride.
It all began in 2011 when I jumped into breeding Asian Discus.
There's something mesmerizing about their beauty that drew me in.
As I tinkered around in those early days,
I got fixated on creating the roundest Discus possible.
But it wasn't just about appearances; I was on a mission to create the ultimate environment for them.
I fine-tuned conditions to boost egg counts and give those little fry the best chance at survival.
In 2016, I took a shot at artificial breeding.
It was a bit of a whirlwind, and while I managed to raise a successful batch,
the process demanded way more time and attention than I anticipated.
So, I took a step back.
Then came the wild Discus challenge in 2017, and I tasted success again.
These milestones paved the way for me to dive into commercial breeding.
It's been a game-changer, opening doors to exciting opportunities.
These days, my focus is on maintaining standard lines and introducing new varieties to the market.
From the early days of curiosity to now,
it's been a journey of growth, learning, and a whole lot of fishy fun.

My mission in Discus breeding and business is simple: to create an awesome journey for Discus enthusiasts.
I'm all about making Discus hobby a smooth and enjoyable ride for hobbyists. No headaches, just pure fishy fun.
Another goal close to my heart is to back specialized Discus retailers.
I want to clear the path for them by dealing with the common snags.
Affordable, top-notch, and healthy Discus should be a reality for everyone.
When it comes to breeding, two things drive me.
First, it's all about keeping our Discus gang healthy and happy.
We're super strict with our bio-security routines to keep parasites and pesky infections far away.
The second gear in this journey is all about colors and shapes.
I'm on a mission to craft Discus that are like living rainbows, bursting with shades that light up tanks.
The cherry on top? Getting those body shapes just right.
In a nutshell, I'm here to share the Discus love, to make the lives of hobbyists smoother,

I didn't get the prviladge of having an experienced breeder to mentor me.
I read a lot about discus online and from books, filtered the information and tested them through trial.
However, I have learned a lot about artificial breeding from Dale jordan from Canada.

Please describe the history of DISCUSX from its start:
The tale of DISCUSX farm began with a spark of inspiration.
As I looked across the ocean from my home in Alexandria, Egypt,
I saw another Discus breeder, Samy Eq of Fullmoon Discus, making waves in Thailand.
A conversation bloomed, and we realized our shared dreams – to turn our passion into our livelihood.
You see, the seeds for DISCUSX were sown long before.
I had a blueprint etched in my mind, a vision of a high-tech, commercial haven for Discus.
So, I embarked on a journey to find investors who shared our dreams.
After much effort, we secured a hefty fund of one million USD, and that's when our story truly set sail.
But let's be real, this journey wasn't a walk in the park.
We were venturing into uncharted waters, trying out methods never dared before with Discus.
Challenges greeted us at every corner, but they were merely hurdles we were determined to leap over.
To make DISCUSX a reality, we knew we needed the best.
Our breeding stock came from the crème de la crème of Discus breeders around the world.
But this feat wouldn't have been possible without a key ally – Bactocide.
It was our secret weapon, ensuring our Discus family stayed healthy and thriving.
From that initial spark of an idea to a million-dollar fund and the trials and triumphs in between,
DISCUSX became a testament to the passion, persistence, and daring to dream big.
It's a story of collaboration, innovation, and the unbreakable bond between fish and those who cherish them.

1- 繁殖室 #1 20,000 L: 150L の繁殖角型タンク 50 台と、繁殖ストックのペアリング用の 1.5 メートルの長さのタンク 30 台があります。この部屋では、外部ソースについて議論し続けています。
2- 飼育室 #2 15,000 L: この部屋では、寄生虫のいない繁殖ストックを保管しています。 100 台の繁殖タンクと、10 日目から 30 日目まで幼魚を育てるための 92 台の育成タンクがあります。
3- 成長/展示室 23,000 L: 稚魚を 2 ～ 3 cm から 5 ～ 6 cm、最大 10 cm まで成長させるための、さまざまなサイズの 220 個のタンクがあります。
ここから、小さいサイズ個体を選択し、さらなる成長のためにプールに移動するために一部を保持します。
4- グローアウトプールシステム 45,000 L: 生物濾過用の 4000L に加えて、2000L の円形プールが 20 個あります。このシステムでは、ディスカスを 3.5 インチから 6 インチまで成長させます。
Scale of farm, size and number of fish tanks:
In terms of production capacity we are capable of producing 6000 Discus every month totaling 72,000 pcs per year when going full capacity.
We have 4 systems working each with a central filtration system.
1- Breeding room #1 20,000 L: has 50 150L breeding square tanks and 30 1.5m long tanks for breeding stock pairing. In this room, we keep discussing external sources.
2- Breeding room #2 15,000 L: In this room, we keep our parasite-free breeding stock. It has 100 breeding tanks, and 92 Nursery tanks for growing larvae from day 10 to 30.
3- Grow out/Display room 23,000 L: Has 220 tanks of different sizes to grow the fry from 2-3 cm to 5-6 up to 10 cm.
From here we select the smaller sizes and keep some to move to the pools for further growth.
4- Grow out pools system 45,000 L: Has 20 2000 L round pools in addition to 4000L for biofiltration. In this system, we grow out Discus from 3.5 to 6"

and a thermostat temperature controller (heating and cooling) and in the breeding room, we use UV lights.

USA has the highes sales and potential for growth,
I also believe Mexico to be a growing and promising market, Australia and EU are important ,markets we need to reach better.
I always had special interest in entering the market of Japan as I share the same taste in discus for wild types and original lines.
